Title:  Regional Sales Manager

Summary:   Recruits, trains, and manages a network of independent manufacturer’s channel sales partners (Sales Representatives) within a Region for the purpose of promoting and selling SATS Precision Air Conditioning (PAC) solutions and Humidification products, to end users, OEM’s, Engineers and Contractors in accordance with guidelines set by leadership.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Contacts, qualifies, appoints, with the approval of executive management, and trains Channel Partners for the purpose of selling products in local territories
  • Trains new Sales Representatives on products and applications of products including sizing/selection for a particular application using SATS software programs or other guidelines issued by leadership, or Application Engineering Manager
  • Promotes, manages and helps partners to target and execute projects and manage sales funnel according to policy for optimal channel sales strategy, behaviors and accountability.
  • In support of and with Sales Representative calls on the owners, consulting-specifying engineers, design-build contractors, and other organizations for the purpose of promoting and selling SATS product solutions.
  • Works with Sales Operations and Marketing to ensure follow through on lead generation/capture and alignment with sales plan performance.
  • In support of and with Sales Representative calls on OEM accounts that incorporate products into systems or other products as a “component”
  • Supports Sales Representative at regional/local trade shows and conferences.  Demonstrates SATS software to users and the design community. Serves as a subject matter expert for conducting business with SATS
  • Refers custom projects to the Factory Applications Engineering department for pricing.  Assists the Factory Applications Engineering department in the interpretation of customer specifications.  Assist the Sales Representative in obtaining approval for submitted products
  • Establishes business plan for each assigned channel partner to ensure that channel sales goal is achieved for each territory. Performs monthly sales forecasting for Region and promotes excellent funnel accuracy and quotation hygiene.
  • Calls on air handler manufacturers and modular solutions providers to promote, sell and integrate PAC/Humidifiers.
  • Reports field information and competitive business intelligence to Marketing and Management.
  • Submits weekly Planning/Activity reports
  • Assist Company personnel when traveling in the Region for Sales, Training, Promotion, or Service
  • Assist the Company at national or international trade shows/conferences
  • Supervises a network of independent manufacturer’s sales representatives for the purpose of promoting and selling PAC/Humidification products
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Frequent travel required.

 

Education/Experience:

  • BSME or acceptable technical education or equivalent field experience in the field of HVAC equipment and applications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of acceptable sales experience in the selection, promotion, and selling of an engineered HVAC product line

 

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand English instructions
  • Comfortable and orderly presentation skills for public speaking

 

Mathematical Skills:   Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in sizing/selection of products and a complete understanding of psychometrics and the use of psychometric formulas.
