Title: HR Assistant - Payroll & Benefits

Summary: The HR Assistant- Payroll & Benefits is responsible for assisting the Payroll & Benefits Administrator with all aspects of company payroll processing and administration of the company benefits and leave plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with reviewing and approving employee data changes, timesheets, and other records affecting wages to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Serves as back-up for complete payroll processing when necessary
- Responds to state unemployment filings and employment verification requests
- Assists employees with payroll and benefits-related inquiries
- Coordinates all activities related to the employee Wellness Plan, including calendar of events, announcements, compliance tracking, and wellness portal assistance
- Other HR administrative duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
- 2-year degree or certification in an applicable field
- 2+ years working in an HR/Payroll department
- Previous experience processing payroll
- Understanding of payroll laws and regulations
- SAP experience strongly desired
- Experience with employee benefit and wellness plans
Hourly Rate: $20 - $25/hour
