Summary:
|
|
The Supply Planning Manager owns and executes the supply planning process within Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), developing and maintaining the master production schedule (MPS) across all three plants to align supply with demand forecasts, optimize production capacity, and ensure material availability to meet STULZ’ customer commitments. This senior individual contributor role leverages data-driven insights and fosters cross-functional collaboration to enhance operational efficiency and resolve constraints within the supply chain. The role is the bridge between plant-level operations and senior leadership, consolidating inputs from local Material Managers and Production Managers into a single, enterprise-wide supply plan that aligns with organizational objectives. The role also drives continuous improvement in supply planning processes and the adoption of new tools, dashboards, and capabilities to achieve performance goals.

- Develop, maintain, and execute the master production schedule (MPS) and comprehensive supply plans for all three plants, aligning with demand forecasts and production capabilities and ensuring optimal resource utilization while meeting customer requirements.
- Partner directly with local material planning and production managers at each plant to ensure consistency in supply planning processes. Act as the key connection between the plants and other planning functions (i.e. Demand, FP&A, Workforce, etc.).
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, sales teams, and local managers to ensure material availability, resolve constraints, and streamline production schedules.
- Track production capacity across all plants, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend enterprise-wide solutions to maintain service levels and enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in the S&OP cycle and own monthly Supply Management Review (SMR) meetings. Prepare insights on capacity constraints, material availability, risks, and recovery plans to ensure alignment with demand plans. Escalate unresolved issues to Integrated Reconciliation Review (IRR) and Management Business Review (MBR).
- Develop and maintain planning dashboards, reports, and KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, inventory health) using Excel and data visualization tools, driving initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and responsiveness and supporting S&OP and executive reviews.
- Establish and monitor inventory targets, safety stock levels, and excess/obsolete (E&O) mitigation plans in alignment with working capital and service-level objectives.
- Manage MPS time fences, frozen zones, and schedule change control to balance customer responsiveness with manufacturing stability.
- Perform rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) and scenario analysis to evaluate demand changes, capacity shifts, and sourcing alternatives, presenting trade-offs to leadership.
- Maintain accuracy of ERP planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, planning BOMs, routings) in partnership with plant teams.
- Support order promising and customer delivery commitments by providing available-to-promise (ATP) visibility to sales and customer service.
- Contribute to building foundational planning processes, tools, and reporting as the organization grows, ensuring continuous improvement of the supply planning function.
