Title: Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY:
This is an entry level apprentice position to the Test Technician II. Must be able to perform the following analytical duties in a reasonable and productive time frame.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components
- Must be familiar with HVAC and dehumidification systems
- Must have knowledge of different refrigerant gasses (R-134, R407C, R410A, etc...)
- Must have basic industrial electrical knowledge to trouble shoot HVAC or environmental control systems
- Must be willing to assist the Test Technician II
- Other duties, as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to advancing to the next level
- Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc
- Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressurized systems
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Section 608 Technician Certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization
- Ability to work from verbal and written instruction
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in sizing/selection of product and a complete understanding of psychometrics and the use of psychometric formulas
